COVID-19 / Coronavirus
Notice for Patients
March 25, 2020
In light of the COVID-19 / Coronavirus pandemic, we will be closing our office for all non-urgent or non-essential dermatology visits until further notice. Elective procedures, surgeries and non-urgent outpatient visits will be postponed. Please understand we are trying to limit the amount of traffic in the office to curb the potential exposure to our patients and staff.
We will, however, be converting over to teledermatology visits. These visits are subject to regular copay charges and other charges that may be associated with regular office visits. Please call us if you would like to schedule a teledermatology visit.
If you have a scheduled appointment for an urgent issue, please read the following questions and if you answer yes to any of them, we will need to reschedule your appointment to a later date or convert to a teledermatology visit:
Have you experienced a cough, fever or shortness of breath in the past 2 weeks?
Have you been in close contact with any family members, friends or associates with fever, cough or shortness of breath?
Have you been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19)?
Have you travelled out of the country in the past two weeks, particularly Italy, Iran, Spain, China, Japan, South Korea, Germany or France?
In this time of uncertainty, please practice essential preventive measures to protect yourself and others around you. Please restrict your time away from home, frequently wash your hands, and avoid social gatherings. The full recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) can be found at cdc.gov. Although evidence to date suggests that elderly patients, especially those with other underlying medical illnesses, are at greatest risk for serious complications, patients with less severe symptoms may also be potential carriers and spread the virus unknowingly.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation and look forward to seeing you in the future.
