Caroline Zhu, MD, FAAD

 Dr. Caroline Zhu FAAD is a dedicated dermatologist with interests spanning medical dermatology, procedural dermatology, pediatric dermatology, and cosmetic treatments. Originally from Plano, Texas, Dr. Zhu is passionate about building meaningful relationships with patients while helping them feel confident and comfortable in their skin.

She earned her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine, where she was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and graduated with formal Distinctions in both Medical Education and Research. Dr. Zhu completed her internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego and her dermatology residency training at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she gained extensive experience in medical, surgical, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology.

Driven by a commitment to leadership and academic curiosity, Dr. Zhu served as a Resident Ambassador for the Integrative Dermatology Society and was selected as a scholar for Massachusetts General Hospital's Magic Wand Initiative, focusing on clinician-led innovation. Her diverse academic background also includes multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national conferences.

Dr. Zhu enjoys caring for patients of all ages and values taking the time to educate patients about their skin health and treatment options. She is proficient in Spanish and conversational in Mandarin. Her clinical interests include acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer detection and treatment, pediatric skin conditions, and cosmetic dermatology, including aesthetic procedures.

Outside of dermatology, Dr. Zhu enjoys exploring new food spots, traveling, watching sitcoms, and playing chess. Her warm personality and approachable nature help patients feel at ease from the moment they walk through the door.
